Total Noob Here Empty
PostSubject: Total Noob Here   Total Noob Here EmptyMon 16 Jul - 22:16

Hi guys,
Sorry but I have no idea where to begin here, cant find any idiot guides etc.
I'm more the artist (3d modeller etc) having released various mods for other game engine etc. Is it possible for me to get things ingame and running etc by myself or is a programmer etc required. I've downloaded and installed the client but cant connect to anything. Where do I go from here, lol.

You're going to have to download the server and set it up as well. No need to be a programmer, but getting the server / client to work together can be tricky- You'll be running things from command lines, not just clicking shortcuts. Might need to tweak some configuration files

Thanks for the heads up. Will be studying that more.

Got another question meantime. Is it possible to have vehicles in Multiverse. My idea is as carmageddon/IS82/18wheels of steel kinda thing. Although I dont intend to have trucks, just the delivery side of things.

Multiverse is EXTREMELY flexible. You can probably code vehicles into the system, however, if you want real physics behaviours for driving, you will probably need to modify the client sources (someone was successful with implementing some physics using BulletSharp- real physics reactions for throwing objects).

If you're OK with doing simple simulations of car driving, you can probably get away without the physics implementation.
