Server startup exceptions (instance.out). Empty
PostSubject: Server startup exceptions (instance.out).   Server startup exceptions (instance.out). EmptySun 17 Jun - 8:01

Hello!

I just downloaded compiled version of server and tried to run it (following wiki instructions). As a result, the server will not start, but in the log instance.out contains the following:

Code:

I do not know what to do with these exceptions. Again -- this is a server downloaded from the repository. Could you help me solve this problem?

Was it the 2008 or 2012 server version?

It was the 2012 server version. Archive server_20120322.zip

I can't tell what the problem is - it's not something obvious to me from that error. Since it's dying with a null pointer exception in a string replace for expanding a file name, there are a few things that might be happening:

- If you have spaces anywhere in your path or the path of your JDBC, it might be having a problem with those.
- If you have any non-ASCII characters, i.e. cyrillic, in your file path, it might be having trouble. I don't think that's been tested.
- It seems like there could be a missing file in multiverse/config/sampleworld.
