Ok, we may differ on this one but I'm calling the biggest challenge: The lighting model.

If we could just drop in the latest Axiom or Mogre that would be probably be solved.

We have a working materials system, bump mapping works, Zombie looks nice Very Happy

Physics
Second place for me is the Z axis and collision system. Bullet Sharp seems like it will work nicely.

Your opinion
What do you think the biggest challenge or number one issue is?

I think the Axiom upgrade would be pretty nice, but fixing the current bugs should have higher priority.

Something else I'd like to see is the terrain editor with the ability to run around as a character. Smile

TBH I can't really say what should have top priority right now.

Updated Axiom would fix a few of the existing bugs. Certainly not all of them.

Whilst I am by no means a programmer of any sorts, I am seeing a lot of issues just to get servers up and running from those that DO know what they are doing.

I have quite a few working scenes ready to import into MV, and I have already proved my workflow, I am very reluctant to apply any more of my time/effort to these projects, unless I can have a simple install/use of the servers, that allows me, my clients and the general public, the ability to at least see, what I'm doing.

It's not the 'fault' of anyone here, or associated with MV. I just think MV is a bit too young and raw, for anyone not able to edit comand lines/files/environment variables etc, at this time. I checkin everyday and read all latest posts (even those that mean 0 to me), to see if there is a stage break through, for me to checkout. Keep up the good work.
