setting up server Empty
PostSubject: setting up server   setting up server EmptyThu 23 Aug - 6:00

I have followed all the instructions so far outlined in /wiki/Platform_Tutorial_Getting_Started

and i'm falling down starting the server.

I should be getting

DEFAULT_MV_PROPERTYFILE is multiverse.properties
JDBC is c:\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14-bin.jar
MV_HOME is ..
ENABLE_MGMT is false
Using properties file multiverse.properties
Using world file "..\config\sampleworld\sampleworld.mvw"
Saving log files to ..\logs\sampleworld
Java Flags are: -cp "..\dist\lib\multiverse.jar;..\dist\lib\mars.jar;..\other\rh
ino1_5R5\js.jar;..\other\java-getopt-1.0.11.jar;..\other\jython_2_1.jar;c:\mysql
-connector-java-3.1.14\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14-bin.jar" -Dmultive
rse.propertyfile=multiverse.properties
Starting domain server: SUCCESS
Starting animation server: SUCCESS
Starting combat server: SUCCESS
Starting object manager: SUCCESS
Starting login manager: SUCCESS
Starting world manager 1: SUCCESS
Starting proxy server: SUCCESS
Starting world reader: SUCCESS
Starting mob server: SUCCESS
Wait for finished initializing msg...

and what I am getting is

DEFAULT_MV_PROPERTYFILE is multiverse.properties
MV_HOME is ..
ENABLE_MGMT is false
Using properties file multiverse.properties
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

PostSubject: Re: setting up server   setting up server EmptyThu 23 Aug - 6:15

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, Is the problem

Go under Start-> right click computer-> properties -> click advanced system settings ->environment variables
And then in System variables
go on paths and edit it.

now listen carefully...

you have a full Value DO NOT DELETE IT! get infront of the last value and look if there is a semicolon (this thing -> ; ) if not place one. and then got and search for your Java Runtime Directory and place it inside and place a semicolon. And then you do the same with the JDK .

Don't forget

you have to place a similiar directory like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.7.0_05\bin" without the breaks.

If your still having problems look at this tutorial for random variables.

Between i wanna add something else

look at your server this line

JDBC is c:\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14\mysql-connector-java-3.1.14-bin.jar

and this line in your multiverse-properties

c:\\mysql-connector-java-5.1.21\\mysql-connector-java-5.1.21-bin.jar

Try editing your multiver-properties and remove one of these back lines ( this thing -> \ )

and the number 5.1.21 isn't the same as this 3.1.14

put it exactly the same you installed it
