Hello all! Empty
PostSubject: Hello all!   Hello all! EmptyWed 12 Sep - 1:17

Hi everyone.

I come from a mud background of writing only in C. So, this is going to be a lot to get used to! But, I really wanted to upgrade from a text only to a graphics and this seemed like a good way. Seems like the documentation is decent and the people around here are even better! Any advice on how best to familiar myself with the system on what/where everything is? Let me know!

Thanks and nice to meet around,
Davenge.

Welcome Very Happy
Nice to meet you.

If your Multiverse client is installed you can walk around in the NY Times Square demo

I have the servers running and connecting locally on WinXP native and under Cygwin.
Connect with multiverseclient.exe --development --noupdate

You don't need the Master Server to connect and build worlds locally

Hopefully you won't have too many issues.
There are a number of threads in the Getting Started section of the forum where people
have had issues, including me Very Happy

Cheers

Is there a current Master server for the MV MMO project team? For hosting worlds? If so, as I mentioned previously I do have the server files and asset server still going for FOA it wouldn't be to hard to pull up the demo world and get it runing but it was set up to use MV's master server so that others might access it publicly.

Hi Agememnon,

Yes, we do have a master server up and running, and we're currently hosting SampleWorld and the New York Times Square demo.
If you add Shane on Skype (scfischer7), you can discuss adding your demo on our server.

That would definitely be awesome Agamemnon. cheers

I would love to run around in Force of Arms!

It would also serve as an example for some that the tech for deploying
an MMO with multiverse is already there.
