Move the Repository to GitHub ?

I've been thinking about changing the system that stores the Multiverse sourcecode. It is currently on SourceForge but I've been thinking about GitHub. GitHub is a much more modern and easy to use system that would make accessing the sourcecode a lot easier. In addition it has very handy "social media" integration that would be cool.

Any thoughts ?

Not an expert on vcs.

I guess, for me, it boils down to the level of control the team exerts over the repository.

As long as the main stable branch is obtainable I'm good with it.

Ultimately, I do not think it matters but what is the concrete benefit of moving the code? What's the disruption to the community? Do the benefits outweigh the disruption?

A lot of people were having a hard time "getting" the code. Github has easy to use tools for windows and linux to connect to a repository and get the code.

Although perhaps its been addressed by the inclusion of the code in the Multiverse Complete download.

The decision is still in thought.
