Help! Server error... SQL? Empty
PostSubject: Help! Server error... SQL?   Help! Server error... SQL? EmptyThu 31 Jan - 11:33

New slew of errors after switching to Cygwin (heard that was far better) that appear to be related to the jvm.dll being bad...

Code:
awk: ../bin/prop2sh.awk:3: warning: regexp component `[:space:]' should probably be `[[:space:]]'

  Preferred POSIX equivalent is: run/sampleworld
CYGWIN environment variable option "nodosfilewarning" turns off this warning.
Consult the user's guide for more details about POSIX paths:

Any thoughts? After seeing this I went and re-installed JDK 7 (both 64 bit and 32 bit, as I'm on win7pro 64 bit)

Actually.... I may try to run this on linux. I have a dual boot to Ubuntu so that might change things up a bit.... does it even work on Ubuntu?

Thanks for reading,
Tele

One of the most useful things for mysql is to install the mysql workbench. It is a windows gui interface to manage the server, run queries, create logins, etc..

http://www.mysql.com/products/workbench/

Use this for a bit and it can probably help you troubleshoot your issue and other future issues

Help! Server error... SQL? Empty

Hmm, yes, I already have that. Does that error have to do with the MySQL database being inaccessible? I was getting a lot more errors for a while but I think I have the correct user name and password now. It said in one of the other .out files that the database was successfully accessed. Anywho thanks for the feedback everything helps - it's nice to know I've got the right tools for the job! Smile
