'Properties' not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

Hi everyone,

First, sorry for my bad english :s

Next, I've uploaded all files, installed Java JDK 1.6.0_45, and set Path's variable to his \bin folder.
I've Firewall's shutdown, MysQL is running, started command prompt as admin, i type start-multiverse.bat, and i've this error :

'Properties' not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

I've no error logs files in /logs/sampleworld.

I'm run on Windows 8.

Can anyone help me ?

From what I understand, the Platform won't run on W8. However I could be wrong, and someone else could have got it running.

The .properties extension is a weird one anyway, as it's not a proper extension in the first place. It definitely works in W7 and Linux though.

Basically, I wouldn't recommend using W8, as we're still trying to sort out bugs on the Linux and W7/XP versions.

I would'nt recomend windows period. Even running under cygwin it is a major pain in the ass to get going and not even close to reliable. While the platform will run on windows with a few sacrifices to the server gods, ubuntu server 12.0.4 seems to be the most reliable and stable OS to run it under.

Infact, I am thinking we should eliminate windows all together as no one runs a production mmo server on windows anything, mysql backend, patch system , ok but the accual server, no.
