I get this error when trying to use the tool with models exported from Gsketchup 8. Any ideas?

C:\Program Files\Multiverse Tools\Multiverse Model Viewer>conversiontool fruit.

Hi Trevor,

First of all, welcome to the forums.

I'm not too familiar with Google Sketchup myself, but after digging around the Old Forums for a bit, I came across this.
http://update.multiverse.net/old-forum/viewtopic.php?t=884&highlight=sketchup&theme=multiverse

Check if you're following those steps, and it should work. I believe that Google Sketchup does have a Collada exporter (which I assume is what you're using at the moment).
However, the Collada extension files used in the Platform are likely to be out-of-date, as the last release of Multiverse was a year or two ago, so there's a chance the Google Sketchup version is a bit too new for it.
(We are working on getting a new update released (preferably as open source), so this will be sorted within the next few months.)

For the moment, see if you can follow the tutorial in the link above. If that doesn't work, perhaps you could try getting it into another program like Blender or 3DS Max, and export it to Collada from there.

Hope that helps,

Tristan
