Hello Guys

Hello All. I am paviii from the old MV forums. I hope to see some good come about moving to this new forum; I have been reading about TristanB getting privileges and looking at moving the knowledge base in the forum over to the wiki. It will be interesting to see if the code will become open source.

Like all the old members its been frustrating to watch the old forum get overrun by spammers.

Any way I look forward to new development. Also I would be willing to help with the development of the code if it ever becomes open source.

First of all, welcome to the new forum!
You mentioned that you've been with MV for a while - what's your experience with the platform? Worked on any projects?

Also, any help that you can give around the forum, and anything useful that you can add to the Wiki will be gratefully received by all, I'm sure . And it's good to hear that you'll be able to help out with the open-source as well.
I'll be starting a thread soon, to keep people updated on the overall platform situation.

Hey Tristan. I have been working on my own project for several years now (basically fantasy). I am basically an army of one looking for a team eventually. I am not a trained programmer but I have been coding at various levels for 30 years starting on commodore 64. I think I have made pretty good progress given I have had to teach myself Java, python, Iron Python, etc. The game I have is not too flashy but it does have some nice non stock feature now.

I have not done much with the forum other than as a reader offering occasional tips and most getting help when I hit a brick wall. I'll happily help out any way I can. I have one wiki article already under my belt from a year or so back.
